indifference or incompetence

                                                    Indifference or incompetence?

...this question worries me quite a long time. in spite of the fact that generally, workers who provide support for someone with the drug addiction are unconditional professionals. but there are aspects that can only be known to the patients (insiders). and therefore there must be a mechanism that establishes a connection between the specialist and the patient. in my opinion, this mechanism absent... I can see several reasons. The first one and the main reason (which one interests me most). This is the financial benefit of the patient. It's not a secret that methadone and buprenorphine can be bought on the street. But not many know how and in what quantities it gets there. It is also not known how many at the moment, not official consumers. basically, it concerns only buprenorphine users. In many countries of central and eastern Europe, buprenorphine is rolled on the level with heroin and even exceeds the price. This is one of the reasons that influence the choice of the "fake" patients. The street price of one tablet (8 mg) is £ 5. Many, depending on the situation, are willing to pay And more. There is always a demand for buprenorphine, and many come especially for it, with the aim of reselling it. On this subject, I spoke with people who drove home one hundred and more tablets at a time. Most of these people use it themselves, and the sale of buprenorphine pays them the cost of the road and provides them a medication. In many countries, it can be sold twice as much. The reason for this is the complex system of treatment of drug addicts and not perfect legislation.  Therefore, many buy a buprenorphine on the street is much easier And cheaper.

As far as getting medicines that go for sale. To convince the doctor that you need a higher dose is not so difficult. Usually, doctors offer it themselves. In the hope that all patients are treated fairly (and this is far from true). To take medicines from a drugstore too does not make work. That's why and when the same mechanism is needed in the relationship between the doctor and the patient. Apparently, the time has passed for doctors to use the services of PR consultants. And the question 'Indifference or incompetence?' remains a question...
